Refund policy

At Into The Sticks, we get it—sometimes you think you’re ready to brave the wild, but it turns out that new rooftop tent just isn’t the right fit for your adventure. No worries! We’ve got you covered with our simple and fair return policy, but with a few twists to keep things light (and a little punny). Here's everything you need to know about returns, refunds, and avoiding the wilds of buyer’s remorse.

"Return It, Don’t Burn It" – Our Return Policy

If you’ve changed your mind or decided that your tent needs more time under the stars (instead of in your living room), you can return it as long as it’s still in brand-new condition with the original packaging. We accept returns within 30 days of delivery—just like the window between a wild camping trip and realizing you forgot your sleeping bag.

Unused condition: Items must be brand new, unboxed, and as pristine as a freshly washed car (you know, the one you promised to wash and never did).

Credit Card Refunds: If you used a credit card, we’ll deduct a 3% processing fee to cover the original transaction costs. Unfortunately, the shipping charges are non-refundable. It’s like paying the toll on the road to your next adventure—just part of the journey.

To start a return, shoot us an email at info@intothesticks.ca. If we approve your return, we’ll send you instructions on how to get the package back to us. Please note: We don’t accept returns if you didn’t request one first. Sending items back without a return request is like trying to sneak a marshmallow into a campfire—doesn’t really work.

"Return Shipment – You’re the Captain Here"

Once your return is accepted, the responsibility for arranging the return shipment falls squarely on your shoulders (think of it like navigating a tough trail). You’re in charge of the shipping costs, and if your item gets damaged on the way back, that’s between you and the carrier—kind of like how you and the trail are responsible for your boots.

"Damaged Items? Not on Our Watch!"

We take great care in shipping your gear, but if something does arrive damaged, we’re here to help. Here’s the process:

Inspect the box upon arrival. If you notice any obvious damage, take photos immediately! (Your camera’s your friend here.)

Open the box in front of the driver. This way, if anything is damaged, you’ve got proof and can reject the shipment on the spot.

Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll evaluate the issue, and if it’s a valid claim, we’ll sort it out right away. Just remember: If you sign off on the delivery and don’t make a note of the damage, the shipping company might deny your claim. It’s like agreeing to a game of hide and seek—you might get stuck looking for answers later.

"Refunds – The Adventure Continues"

Once we get your return back, we’ll inspect it and let you know if it’s eligible for a refund. As long as the tent (or other item) is in brand-new condition with all packaging intact, we’ll process your refund ASAP.

LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY – Into the Sticks Rooftop Tents

At Into the Sticks, we believe your adventure is as important as your shelter. That’s why we back our rooftop tents with a one (1) year limited warranty, ensuring they’re free from defects in materials and workmanship. If you find that your tent is having trouble with the great outdoors, we’ve got your back—we’ll repair or replace any defective parts at no cost, as long as the tent is returned to us at the purchaser's expense. No worries, though—we’ll make the process as smooth as a forest path.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser, and it’s as simple as a trailhead to make a claim. Just email us at info@intothesticks.com with your original order number and a detailed description of the issue (we love a good story, so feel free to share). We’ll get back to you within 30 days to let you know if your claim is covered.

Purchaser Shipping Responsibilities:

While we’ll cover the repair or replacement, you’ll need to handle the shipping to us. Think of it like carrying the firewood—you bring it to us, and we’ll take care of the rest, including return shipping after the repairs are complete.

What is Not Covered:

As much as we’d like to control everything, Into the Sticks can’t be responsible for mishaps caused by user error, neglect, or the occasional squirrel’s curiosity. Our warranty doesn't cover cosmetic changes like discoloration or wear and tear, or any damage from accidents, storms, or that one time your tent got stuck in the middle of a mud puddle during a rainstorm (we’ve all been there). Also, prolonged exposure to the sun may age your tent like a seasoned oak—normal wear over time from UV rays, zippers that lose their zip, or materials breaking down naturally isn’t covered. And remember, mold and mildew aren’t just roommates in the forest—they can creep into tents that aren't aired out regularly, so give your tent some fresh air, especially in damp conditions!

Exclusions:

While we’re out here in the wild with you, Into the Sticks is not liable for any incidental expenses—like the time you lost your phone while hiking, your trip to the hardware store for zip ties, or even that unexpected gas bill on your way back from your off-the-grid getaway. We also aren’t responsible for any damage or inconvenience caused by things like animal mischief or your tent becoming a temporary guest

house for the local deer. This warranty is the only express warranty provided, so no other promises are on the table—unless, of course, you're offering us a campfire story in exchange.

What Into the Sticks Will Do:

In the unlikely event that your tent fails due to a defect in materials or craftsmanship, we’ll either repair or replace it at no cost. It’s like having a reliable trail buddy who’s always there when you need them.

How to Obtain Warranty Service:

If something goes wrong, simply return the product to us, or get in touch with us for return authorization at info@intothesticks.com. Please note, we can’t accept shipments that arrive without prior authorization or collect shipments—because even nature has its boundaries!

This warranty gives you certain legal rights, and some of those rights may vary depending on your local laws. In some places, not all exclusions or limitations apply, so the details might differ depending on where you're adventuring.

We’re here to make sure your outdoor experience is as memorable and stress-free as possible, so go ahead, Into the Sticks—and we’ve got your tent covered, no matter where the trail leads!
